02/22/25- sit spot

I walked onto the deck around 6:00am after hearing the first song from inside. I looked around and didn’t notice any animals, no movement. I wasn’t sure what the songs were, but I listened closely to see if anything felt distressed. For a few minutes it was just beautiful song. There was a few seconds of fighting between two birds in the air in front of me between the two main trees. There didn’t seem to be any reaction from anyone else. At some point I was surprised by the flick of a deer tail, that had been completely unnoticed. It was maybe 100 feet away. Again, no bird language alarms. Minutes later I noticed what I suspected could be an alarm, but eventually seemed to be call and response. I then noticed another white tail flick, and at first was disoriented as the tail was facing away. The two deer seemed to be completely intent on eating and not noticing anything else.
